Dragonball
Home/Change Series
My friend Scott was the one who convinced me to watch Dragonball Z I think. I remember him telling me that it was awesome, but that some battles lasted many, many episodes because there was a lot of dialogue. I took his advice, watched it, and loved it. Nowadays they have this Dragonball Z Kai thing out, which I hear is basically an edited DBZ so that there is less dialogue and more focus on the action. I just can't get into that. I guess it feeds the whole "Now Generation" concept, but that's a trend I don't like. When I watch a good movie or show, I actually like buildup. I don't have to be grabbed by instant action that persists until the end. I prefer good character and world buildup that ultimately leads to a big payoff.
